Pick a LUT below and download it. Packs arrive as a zip with one .cube per look.
Add a Color Lookup layer
Choose Layer, New Adjustment Layer, Color Lookup.
Load the file
In the Properties panel, open the 3DLUT File menu, choose Load 3D LUT and select the .cube file.
Set the strength
Lower the adjustment layer's opacity. Color Lookup has no strength slider of its own.
It affects every layer below
An adjustment layer applies to everything under it. Alt-click (Option-click on a Mac) the line between two layers to clip it to the one below.
Keeping LUTs in the menu
Copy the .cube files into Photoshop's Presets/3DLUTs folder and they appear in the 3DLUT File dropdown.
Every LUT here opens in the Luttie editor in your browser. Load it on your own frame, adjust it, and export a new .cube for Photoshop. Grading is free; LUT export needs Luttie Pro.
The free LUTs are, including for commercial and client work, and they download without an account. The Pro packs are a separate one-time purchase.
Add a Color Lookup adjustment layer (Layer, New Adjustment Layer, Color Lookup), then in the Properties panel open 3DLUT File, choose Load 3D LUT and select the .cube. The layer is non-destructive.
Yes. A .cube file maps colours the same way on a still as on a video frame. These LUTs are built for normal Rec.709 images, which is what a JPEG or a developed raw file is.
Yes. Grade a photo in the Luttie editor in your browser and export it as a .cube, then load it as a Color Lookup layer. LUT export needs Luttie Pro.
