Mobile has no LUT import at all
This trips up a lot of people, because plenty of guides claim otherwise. There is no import button in the filters panel on iOS or Android — custom LUTs are desktop-only, so on a phone the grade has to be baked into the file before CapCut sees it.
Grade to taste before you send
Because the look is baked in, there's no intensity slider afterwards. Dial the strength in Luttie first — a look built on a bright reference frame usually reads too strong over phone footage.
Grade before you add text and effects
Applying colour after overlays tints the graphics too. Get the footage right first, then add titles in CapCut.
Custom LUTs in CapCut
Can you import custom LUTs into CapCut mobile?
No. The CapCut mobile app has no custom LUT import on iOS or Android, despite what many guides claim. Custom .cube import is a desktop-only feature, found under Adjustments → LUT → Import.
