Cinematic Teal & Orange — Free Hollywood LUT

The teal-and-orange split used across mainstream cinema. Skin sits warm against cool shadows and environment, which separates the subject from the background.

What it looks like

Shadows shift toward blue-teal. Mid-tones and highlights, skin especially, move into warm orange. Contrast is raised, blacks are deep, and highlights are held back to keep detail in bright skin.

What it's good for

• Action and drama: high contrast, strong separation
• Music videos: reads clearly in low light
• Narrative and short film: a finished palette without secondary work
• Any scene with people: skin separates from the background

How to use it

Download the .cube file and apply it in your editor:

• DaVinci Resolve → Color page → LUTs panel → right-click to import
• Premiere Pro → Lumetri Color → Creative → Look → Browse
• Final Cut Pro → Effects → Custom LUT → assign the file
• CapCut Desktop → Adjust → LUT → import (the mobile app has no LUT import)

On log footage (S-Log, C-Log, V-Log) normalise first, then apply this after your exposure correction node.
