Cinematic Teal & Orange — Free Hollywood LUT
The classic Hollywood teal-and-orange split that pushes shadows cool and skin warm. Free to download for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut, and CapCut.
If you've watched a Hollywood blockbuster in the last 20 years, you've seen this grade. Teal and orange is the most recognisable colour palette in cinema — it works because skin (warm/orange) is complementary to shadow and environment (cool/teal), creating instant visual depth.
What it looks like
Shadows and dark areas shift toward a blue-teal hue, while mid-tones and highlights — especially skin — are pushed into warm orange-amber territory. The split creates natural separation between subject and background, making faces pop without any masking or secondary work. Contrast is elevated, blacks are deep, and highlights are controlled to preserve detail in bright skin.
What it's good for
- Action and drama — intense, cinematic weight in every frame
- Music videos — strong visual identity, especially in low-light scenes
- Narrative and short film — professional colour palette out of the box
- Any scene with people — skin tones and environments separate beautifully
