High Contrast — Free Bold Cinematic LUT

Crushed blacks, open highlights and a steep tonal curve. Pure contrast with no colour cast, so colour work layers cleanly on top.

What it looks like

Blacks go deep and clip intentionally in the darkest areas. Highlights stay bright but controlled, holding detail in skin and sky. Mid-tones narrow into a steep S-curve. Nothing shifts in hue.

What it's good for

• Music videos and performance: graphic, high-impact frames
• Documentary and interview: adds weight to flat footage
• Action and sport: movement reads harder
• Night and low light: dark areas become negative space
• Under a B&W grade: pairs with the Classic B&W LUT for punchy monochrome

How to use it

Download the .cube file and import it into your NLE:

• DaVinci Resolve → Color page → LUTs panel → right-click to import
• Premiere Pro → Lumetri Color → Creative → Look → Browse
• Final Cut Pro → Effects → Custom LUT → assign the file
• CapCut Desktop → Adjust → LUT → import (the mobile app has no LUT import)

This one is aggressive. If it is too strong, drop the LUT opacity in your NLE. Start at 70 to 80%.
