S-Log3

S-Log3 records far more range than a display can show, which is why footage comes off the card grey and flat. These convert it to Rec.709 and apply a look in the same file.

Canon

C-Log3

C-Log3 holds roughly 12 stops and shows you none of it until something converts the curve. These convert to Rec.709 and carry a look in the same file.

Nikon

N-Log

N-Log comes off the card flat, grey and slightly green. That green is the curve, not your white balance. These convert to Rec.709 and carry a look with them.

DJI

D-Log M

D-Log M is DJI's flat profile on the consumer drones. It preserves range at the cost of looking washed out until it is converted. These do the conversion and the look together.

Mini 4 Pro · Air 3 · Mavic 3

Apple

Apple Log

Apple Log on the iPhone 15 Pro and later gets you far more range than the standard profile, and an image that looks grey until something converts it.

Blackmagic Film

Blackmagic bodies record BRAW or Film gamma, both of which arrive flat. There is no Blackmagic pack yet, so this page points at the free library and the browser editor.
