What is DJI D-Log M?

D-Log M is DJI's logarithmic colour profile, available on drones like the Mini 4 Pro, Air 3, Mavic 3 and more. It captures a wider dynamic range than standard colour profiles by compressing highlights and shadows, which is why the footage looks flat and desaturated straight out of camera.

Apply your D-Log M conversion first

These are look LUTs, not conversion LUTs. D-Log M holds its highlights far above what a display can show, and these grades do not expand that range — so applied straight to log footage the result stays flat and the highlights stay dead. Convert to Rec.709 first using DJI's own conversion LUT or your editor's colour-space transform, then stack one of these on top. That is the normal order in any grading suite: technical transform, then look.
