Moody Cinematic LUT — Free Dark Teal Film Look

The look most people mean when they say "cinematic": deep, cool shadows, restrained colour, and skin that still reads warm against all of it. The last part is what usually goes wrong — desaturate a frame far enough to feel filmic and faces go grey with it.

What it looks like

Blacks deepen and take a blue-teal cast. Overall saturation drops, but a protected band around skin tones keeps faces warm and separated from the background. Highlights roll off early, so practical lights and skies hold instead of clipping.

What it's good for

• Narrative and short film — the default dramatic grade

• Night exteriors and interiors — leans into what low light already does

• Overcast footage — turns flat grey weather into a deliberate mood

• Music videos — holds up under heavy compression
