Color Match

Color Match Pro takes the colour of a reference image, such as a film still or a photo you love, and applies it to your own.

Matching

1. Load your image.
2. Open Color Match from the rail.
3. Drop a reference photo onto Drop a reference photo, or click it to choose one.
4. Use Strength to decide how far toward the reference to go. Somewhere between 50 and 80 percent usually looks more natural than 100.

To try a different reference, remove the current one with its × button.

How it works

Color Match compares the overall colour and brightness distribution of the two images and builds a LUT that moves yours toward the reference. It runs in your browser; neither image is uploaded.

The result goes into the LUT slot, the same one Creative presets use, so it replaces any LUT preset you had applied. Everything else in your grade still applies around it.

Choosing a reference

Color Match copies overall palette, not individual objects. It works best when the reference and your image are similar kinds of scene: a night exterior matched to a night exterior, a portrait to a portrait. A sunset reference on a midday shot moves every colour toward orange, not just the sky.
