Browser requirements

Luttie runs in any current desktop browser: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari, Brave, Arc and others built on them.

What it needs

• WebGL2: the grading runs on your graphics card through WebGL2. Every current desktop browser supports it; it can be missing when hardware acceleration is switched off.
• A reasonably recent computer: grading is real time on most machines from the last several years. RAW decoding and video export are the heaviest tasks and take longer on older hardware.

Browser differences

• Video export of any length needs Chrome or Edge, which can stream the file to disk as it renders. Other browsers export clips of up to 2 minutes. See Exporting video.
• Installing Luttie as an app works in Chrome and Edge, and in Safari on recent versions of macOS. See Install the app.

Phones and tablets

The editor works on phones and tablets, with the controls below the image. A computer is more comfortable for detailed grading. To get a finished image or LUT onto your phone, see Send to phone.

If the editor doesn't load or looks black

1. Turn on hardware acceleration: in Chrome, Settings → System → Use graphics acceleration when available.
2. Update your browser.
3. Try a different browser. If one works and another doesn't, the problem is usually a graphics driver or an extension.
