CineStill 800T is a tungsten-balanced cinema film sold for stills, and its look is the night city: red halos glowing round every light, warm highlights against teal shadows. Luttie's Halation 800 is shaped after it, and Film Effects' halation adds the glow.

CineStill takes Kodak's tungsten cinema negative and removes its remjet, the black backing that stops light bouncing back through the film. Without it, bright lights reflect off the film base and bloom red into the image: the halation the stock is famous for. Being balanced for tungsten light, it also renders daylight and mixed street light cool, which gives night scenes their teal shadows.
In order. Every control below exists in the Luttie editor, free to use in your browser.
Pick Halation 800 as the negative.
Scan for the look most people know; Cinema Print for something darker and more filmic.
Amount 40 to 60, Radius 50, Hue around 10 for the red glow round lights.
-0.5 to 0 EV for night scenes, so the lights glow without the shadows going grey.
Export a .cube (Luttie Pro) for Resolve, Premiere or Final Cut, or a graded image straight from the editor.

Bright daylight: the tungsten balance turns it cold and blue, and the halation has nothing to glow round. Daylight 400 (shaped after CineStill 400D) is the daylight stock.
Its remjet backing is removed, so bright light passes through the film, reflects off the back and exposes the red-sensitive layer again round the light. That's halation. In Luttie it's Film Effects → Halation, which also bakes into an exported LUT.
You can put the 800T look on your own photos and footage free in Luttie's browser editor, and download the graded image. Exporting it as a .cube LUT is part of Luttie Pro.
No. Halation 800 follows the general shape of Kodak's published Vision3 500T curves, the cinema film CineStill 800T is made from, with its warm-and-teal split chosen by eye. It hasn't been measured against real film, and Luttie isn't affiliated with CineStill or Kodak.
Drop in a photo or pull a frame from a video, grade it in the browser, and export a .cube LUT for DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro or CapCut.
