Coming soon · DaVinci Resolve first
Film emulation plugin
Luttie’s film engine runs light through a colour negative and then a print or a scan, the way film was developed. Today it runs in your browser and exports a .cube. Next it runs inside your editor as a native plugin, for DaVinci Resolve first and then Premiere Pro and After Effects. There’s no release date yet.

What the plugin is for
Planned, not built. The beta is where this list gets tested.
- Real grainGrain is texture, and a LUT can only change colour, so a .cube exported from Luttie today can't carry it. Inside your editor the plugin can render grain on every frame, and halation and bloom as glows that spread around highlights.
- Live on the clipChange the stock, the print, the printer lights or the strength on the clip itself. No exporting a .cube, importing it and starting again when the look needs a tweak.
- Log in, film outThe engine already reads Sony S-Log3, Canon C-Log3, Nikon N-Log, Apple Log and DJI D-Log. In the plugin you pick the camera per clip.
- Your looks, both placesLooks you save in the browser editor, on a laptop or a phone, should show up in the plugin, so a look built on set carries into the edit.
Use the engine today
The plugin is the same engine as the online film editor, so a look you build now is the look you’ll get later. Grading is free; exporting a .cube for Resolve, Premiere, Final Cut or CapCut desktop needs Pro. On Resolve 21.0 and earlier, the Resolve scripts send a frame to the editor and bring the LUT back.

Questions
Not a native one yet. A native OpenFX plugin for DaVinci Resolve is in development, with Premiere Pro and After Effects after it, and there is no release date. Today Luttie has free scripts for Resolve 21.0 and earlier that send a frame to the browser editor and bring the LUT back, and in any version you can export a .cube from the online editor and apply it on a node.
The same film engine runs in Luttie's online editor today. Grading with it is free on photos and video frames, and exporting the look as a .cube LUT for Resolve, Premiere, Final Cut or CapCut desktop needs Luttie Pro. Grain is the one part that can't travel in a .cube.
Pro Monthly will include the plugin, and so will any Lifetime plan bought before it launches. The week pass won't. Plugin pricing on its own hasn't been set.
There's no date yet. People on the waitlist get one email when the beta opens and one at launch. The waitlist also decides the order: if more people ask for Premiere Pro than Resolve, that changes what comes first.
For DaVinci Resolve, yes: SpektraFilm OFX is free and well regarded. Resolve also has its own Film Look Creator effect. If you edit in Premiere, Final Cut or CapCut, Luttie's online editor is free to grade with and exports a .cube LUT with Pro.
