slide film and black and white
the film engine can now model two new kinds of film, with five new stocks, seventeen in all.
slide film
slides are the finished picture, not a negative, so they keep their snap: deep blacks, high contrast, rich colour.
- slide 64, inspired by kodachrome 64: warm, saturated reds and yellows (the look)
- lush 50, inspired by fujifilm velvia 50: intense greens and blues for landscapes (the look)
- clean 100, inspired by kodak ektachrome e100: clean, crisp, slightly cool (the look)
black and white
one emulsion that sees colour the way panchromatic film does, so reds, greens and blues each turn into their own grey.
- mono 400, inspired by ilford hp5 plus: soft and forgiving (the look)
- grit 400, inspired by kodak tri-x 400: punchy and gritty (the look)
both kinds are scanned, never printed. scan balance still tints them, which is how to tone black and white warm or cool.
like the others, they're luttie's own models shaped after published curves, not measurements of real film, and luttie isn't affiliated with kodak, fujifilm or ilford. grading with them is free. saving the result as a .cube LUT is part of pro.
