auto white balance, and a picker for neutrals
someone sent in a feature request with a very reddish photo and no way to fix it. the temperature and tint sliders were there, but a red cast needs both of them moved at once (cooler and greener), and that's hard to judge by eye. so now the editor does the judging.
white balance
- pick: click it, then click something in the photo that should be white or grey, like a wall, a pavement or a white shirt. temperature and tint are set so that spot comes out neutral
- auto: removes a colour cast in one click, judged from the parts of the photo that are least colourful, so a big blue sky or a green lawn doesn't pull it off
- both only move the temperature and tint sliders, so you can fine-tune afterwards, undo, save it in a look, or bake it into a LUT like any other grade
- with several photos open, they set the shared look and take each photo's own trim into account
both are free, with or without an account. they're at the top of Basic Correction.
