How to Edit RAW Files in Your Browser (No Software Needed)
Open and edit CR2, ARW, NEF, DNG, and RAF files directly in your browser with Luttie. No Lightroom, no downloads — just upload and grade.
Most RAW editors require a full software install — Lightroom, Capture One, or at minimum a desktop app. Luttie skips all of that. You can open a CR2, ARW, NEF, DNG, or RAF file directly in your browser, apply a LUT, tweak the grade, and export — without installing anything.
What You Need
- A Pro subscription on Luttie
- A RAW file from your camera (CR2, ARW, NEF, DNG, RAF, and more)
- Any modern browser — Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge
That's it. No plugins, no extensions, no desktop app.
How to Open a RAW File in Luttie
Step 1 — Open the editor
Head to luttie.app/editor and sign in to your Pro account.
Step 2 — Drop your RAW file
Click the upload zone or drag your RAW file directly onto it. Luttie will detect the format automatically and begin decoding. You'll see a progress message — RAW files take a few seconds to process since the full sensor data needs to be decoded before the image renders.
Step 3 — Grade your image
Once loaded, the full editor is available:
- Basic corrections — Exposure, contrast, temperature, tint, whites, blacks
- LUT loading — Drop a
.cubefile into the Creative section to apply a cinematic grade - Curves — Fine-tune tone with individual RGB channel curves
- HSL secondary — Isolate and shift specific colour ranges
- Vignette — Add a subtle frame to draw focus
Step 4 — Export
When you're happy with the grade, export as JPEG or PNG at full resolution. If you want to reuse the grade across other images, export as a .cube LUT file to apply in DaVinci Resolve, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut.
Supported RAW Formats
Luttie currently supports the most widely used RAW formats:
| Format | Camera Brand |
|---|---|
| CR2, CR3 | Canon |
| ARW | Sony |
| NEF, NRW | Nikon |
| DNG | Adobe / Various |
| RAF | Fujifilm |
| RW2 | Panasonic |
| ORF | Olympus |
| PEF | Pentax |
Support for additional formats will be added based on demand.
Why Edit RAW Files in a Browser?
The main advantage is workflow speed. If you've shot RAW and want to test a grade before committing to a full edit in Lightroom or Resolve, Luttie lets you do that in under a minute — no export, no conversion, no round-trip.
It's also useful for one-off edits. Not every RAW file needs a full Lightroom workflow. Sometimes you need one image graded quickly, and having a browser-based option means you can do it from any machine.
Tips for Best Results
Use camera white balance — Luttie reads the white balance embedded in your RAW file by default, which usually gives the most natural starting point.
Start with a LUT — If you have a .cube LUT you like, load it first and then fine-tune with the sliders. It's faster than building a grade from scratch.
Export at full resolution — The decoded RAW image retains its original dimensions, so your export will be at full camera resolution.
RAW editing in the browser is a Pro feature. If you're on a free account, you can still use Luttie with JPEG and PNG files — and upgrade to Pro whenever you're ready to unlock RAW support alongside all the other grading tools.
