camera packs, now 65-point
the camera log packs are rebuilt as 65-point luts: 274,625 colour samples in each file instead of 35,937. a log conversion is the steepest curve a lut carries, and that's where a 33-point grid shows up as banding in skies and skin.
- same looks, finer: every rebuilt file matches the old one exactly wherever the two grids meet. it's the same grade, sampled more finely.
- a plain conversion in every pack: canon, nikon, apple and sony each gain a rec.709 conversion that converts the log and does nothing else, to grade on top of.
- nikon n-log gains the five film stock looks the other packs already had: portrait 400, tungsten 500, daylight 250, soft 500 and vivid 100.
- sony s-log3 gains a 65-point conversion and neutral rec.709, and its film stock looks are 65-point too. its five original looks go on after a conversion, so they stay 33-point.
- already bought one? download it again from the pack's page for the new files. no charge.
- previews: each pack's page shows its looks on log footage, with the colour each file actually gives, and on real photos of what the pack is for.
