convert any log, rewire any node

two changes for anyone grading log footage the way a colourist would.

color space transform. the camera panel has a cst, like resolve's: pick what the footage is and what to turn it into, and it's converted with no look added.

  • convert from any camera log the film engine reads: sony, canon, nikon, panasonic, fujifilm, arri, blackmagic, apple, dji and hlg.
  • convert to rec.709, rec.709 gamma 2.4, davinci wide gamut / intermediate, p3-d65 or linear.
  • advanced sets input and output gamut and gamma separately, and highlights roll off into white or clip.
  • it's the first node in the chain, it's baked into exported .cube luts, and the editor warns you if the footage is converted twice.

the node graph. it docks under the canvas, so the picture changes in view while you work, and it edits like a node editor.

  • one node to start: a new grade is exposure & contrast; right-click or press shift+a to add the rest.
  • wires: drag from a port to rewire, drop a node on a wire to put it there, and alt+arrows swap neighbours.
  • unplug or bypass: shake a node or press delete to unplug it, ctrl+d to bypass it. both keep its settings.
  • thumbnails keep the photo's shape, at twice the resolution.
