every lut says what it's for
most luts that "don't work" are on the wrong footage: a lut with a log conversion on normal video, or a plain look on flat log. the export dialog now tells you which one you're making.
- for: the dialog says whether the lut expects rec.709 or a log format such as s-log3 or v-log, and the same line goes into the .cube or .3dl header.
- converted twice: flagged when the film source and a camera lut both convert log.
- half a conversion: flagged when a camera lut or the film strength is under 100%, which blends the flat picture back in.
- the wrong image: flagged when a log conversion was built on a photo, or when a clip looks like log but nothing converts it.
- lightroom: flagged when a log lut is exported as a lightroom profile, since lightroom is for photos.
- 50% and 75% packs aren't offered for a lut with a log conversion, since a half-strength conversion is only half converted.
